So I’ve seen this tag around a lot on Booktube and I think it’s a really cool tag! I was tagged by the awesome Aria from Aria stuck in Wonderland. Thanks again, Aria.
And here are the questions:
1. A Popular Book or series that you didn’t like.
Actually when I first started reading this book, I was ready to give it 5 stars, the humours and stuffs was right on point. But just after Margo disappeared and too many failed attempts by Q, it started to get soooooo boring, I DNF it even. (I don’t really like the movie either, except I like Cara)
2. A Popular Book or series that every one else seems to hate but you love.
I love this sequel! I know many people think this book is a let down, but I think it’s just as perfect and love it prolly even more than the first.
3. A Love Triangle where the main character ended up with the person you did NOT want them to end up with (warn people for spoilers) OR an OTP that you don’t like.
I’m sorry but I’m not a fan of Ginny. I can’t even. And the movie ending just tore me apart. I can’t stand the site of them together.
4. A popular book Genre that you hardly reach for.
I’m gonna go with Historical Fiction. Or non-fiction. It’s just not my type. I find it tooooooo boring.
5. A popular or beloved character that you do not like.
So there are things like, Lia is a strong independent woman. I’m sorry, I disagree. She’s the opposite of that.
6. A popular author that you can’t seem to get into.
I have read two books by John Green (I mean one I DNF, actually both, the other one I skimmed through the ending) and I have to say I’m not a fan.
7. A popular book trope that you’re tired of seeing. (examples “lost princess”, corrupt ruler, love triangles, etc.)
Instalove, Bad guys that are actually good, and the three above too.
8. A popular series that you have no interest in reading.
9. The saying goes “The book is always better than the movie”, but what movie or T.V. show adaptation do you prefer more than the book?
Well, I love Love, Rosie the book but I think the movie is even better. If you haven’t read it, You must go read it and watch the movie ASAP!
So that’s my unpopular opinions, tell me what you think? maybe it’s not unpopular? 🙂
I’m gonna tag my new followers to get to know you guys!

I agree with your comment about Margo. I was starting to like the book, up unil Margo left. And then thats when things started getting really annoying.

Oh my goodness, I think we share a lot of the same opinions. I’m not really a fan of John Green, didn’t like Ginny, I can’t care for TMI, and Paper Towns was silly! So yay, for sharing the same opinions! 🙂

I am not a fan of John Green as well. And after watching some of his videos, I think I don’t like him in general.

Everyone loves The Infinite Sea on Goodreads! But in terms of the series as a whole, I can definitely see readers favouring other titles over The 5th Wave.

Haha, same with me on the TMI series. I just don’t wanna read them. (Also I have a problem with the author but that’s another thing)
This was tons of fun to read! (And THANK YOU for not hating my favorite books. XD)

I also have a problem with the author, that’s one of my reasons for not reading her books. Other than that they just don’t interest me.

I’m 100% behind you on Ginny, I didn’t like her character at all she was so meh to me. I hated that she ended up with Harry in the end, I would’ve liked to have seen him with a stronger female character like Hermione. And you’re not missing out on anything by not reading The Mortal Instruments, I read “City of Bones” and it was just awful.

I like Ron and HErmione but Harry and Ginny is just a no. Glad I’m not missing out on anything! :))

I don’t know anyone who actually likes Ginny, haha! I felt that her romance with Harry came out of nowhere, but I did understand JKR’s motivation – she wanted to make him truly a part of the big Weasley family. I think that even though I don’t fancy Ginny, I am glad Harry now has a family that loves him wholeheartedly, he deserves it. Omg writing that just gave me the feels for the series again.
And *whispers* you are not missing ANYTHING from not reading TMI, I found it boring haha.

Me too! Whenever I write about HP, I want to read the books again! I guess my opinions aren’t unpopular after all! :)))

Great post! I too did not really enjoy Paper Towns, I felt it became too flat from the middle of the book. Also, I have no interest of starting the Vampire academy series, I think that I’m just done with vampires 😉 Same with TMI. Everyone’s telling how amazing it is and I am here like, “hmmm nope don’t want to” haha 😀

I understand why you don’t want to read VA and TMI. I read those back in 2009 (before it was overly hyped) and enjoyed it, but if I were to read it now, I wouldn’t want to read it either! I don’t think anyone likes Ginny… I think she’s just an underdeveloped character. The romance with her and Harry just happened too quickly. Anyway, great post! 🙂
